I’m trying to gauge what readers (and listeners) of Y11 want to read (and hear) about this year. Are there certain topics or stories you were hoping to see come from this newsletter + podcast? Maybe you only care about EMU football, maybe you care about the other sports teams at EMU’s, or maybe there’s just something on your mind? Whether you’re a returning reader or this is your first time visiting my newsletter, I’m open to any and all feedback!
1. General beat reporting: Things like whose injured and who isn't, who is sliding in the depth chart, and asking players and coaches to react after wins and losses. We aren't getting much elsewhere so I think that's what many fans are craving.
2. Box score analysis and other breakdowns of stats: I know this is probably a heavy lift for a one-man site, but if you are seeing any interesting trends in EMU games or opponent games, let us know.
3. Player and coach features: I'm always a sucker for a feature that looks at the personal sides of the players. Great to learn about the humans we're cheering for on Sunday, especially when there is an interesting story.
For football, keep us updated on the injury status of players...if, of course, you can aquire the information from an assuredly tight-lipped staff. Recruiting info is good too. It helps those of us that don't have the time to spend scouring Twitter and the internet for info.
Generally speaking, dig for any info that we can't get through the athletic depth.

Agree with the first 2, not so much on #3. Human interest stuff can come from the EMU AD.

Good job on what you've done so far.
Appreciate that, Mike.
Agree with Frank on points 1 + 2. Would love to read analysis on why EMU struggles with the run game (in both directions!).
