Have to say I disagree on 4. If it's a situation where the defense breaks up a pass on a key play and the offense can still run clock afterwards, that seems unfair. This seems like just another rule change to reward bad offenses for the sake of being offenses. If you can't complete a reasonable percentage of passes, that's bad execution, a lack of talent, bad playcalling, or maybe all the above. I'm not even sure it helps the offense, especially in crunch time when there'll be less time to waste but probably more time needed to run long bomb plays. I think there's been too much thinking about rules that will make better television, and not enough about rules that'll encourage better football.
