To cross the midway point of the year, Eastern Michigan (4-2, 1-1 MAC) will begin its most important three-game stretch of the conference season by taking on a beaten-up Northern Illinois at home. NIU (1-5, 0-2 MAC) has some major injury issues, and EMU is coming off its best win of the year (and series history) at Western Michigan. The MAC West race is on the line, and EMU should feel like it absolutely has to win today’s game.
Today’s game kicks off at 3:30 p.m. (Watch: ESPN+). Use this thread for all of your pre-game, in-game, and post-game thoughts!
So the press conference that was posted online was only 2 minutes… did he have any more insights to what happened besides “I got out coached” which was obvious? Before the game I commented how important this game was in my opinion. That team was unprepared and not even close to ready to play. Once again one step forward and two back … very disappointed. This team will never get to the next level by playing this way.
I love Chris Chrighton he has made EMU relevant. He has to improve with his team handling success. That has been a issue since he arrived. His big motto was flush it wether it’s a win or a loss and go 1-0 next week. What he needs to figure out next is consistently playing good football wether your opponent has 10 wins or 1…
There have been bigger games in the Chris Chrighton era ie bowl games. But I think this could be one of the more important games in his career at EMU. After the letdown from Arizona state , if EMU comes out flat for this game after how well they played last week it would be a huge disappointment.
