50-31 loss to Buffalo! If I remember correctly Coach Creighton recently spoke about how the team seems to have let downs after big wins like Arizona. He described it as a lack of maturation. A more appropriate word is maturity. Lack of maturation means there is some sort of arrested or blocked physical development. I'll go with immaturity, since this is often a characteristic of people, sports teams, and other organizations that keep them from operating at peak efficiency. It's also mental immaturity. Coach Creighton is in his 8th season, and he basically says that his teams have not reached 100% maturity. After this season I believe it's time to call in a professional to help identify what the problem is. Is it recruiting? Is it a lack of athleticism of the players compared to other teams? Facilities? Location of the school? Some other outside influence or is it some sort of psychological dynamic between the players separately, the coaches separately, or the way the whole operation relates to itself? What is causing the lack of consistent play and Eastern's inability to take it to the next level to win a MAC championship? There have been a lot of bromides thrown around in the past, now is the time to identify our strengths and weaknesses.
