Tariq Speights goes behind the lens to capture Emoni Bates' debut, and return to his hometown, with Eastern Michigan.
Friday night was a huge moment for Eastern Michigan’s men’s basketball program.
Emoni Bates, a former high school phenom who recently transferred to EMU from Memphis, made his official return to the state by making his debut with the new team at Little Caesars Arena.
Final score: Michigan 88, EMU 83.
