EMU Football Depth Chart and Snap Counts: Washington Week (2024)
No changes, but some updated notes, for this week's depth chart listing ahead of the flight to Seattle.
I love saying this part: Week 1 is officially in the books.
Now it’s onto Seattle.
Eastern Michigan (1-0) hits the road skies this weekend with a trip out West, taking on the defending national championship runners-up Washington Huskies (1-0).
With the new week comes a new depth chart report. While EMU’s weekly published depth charts aren’t always 100% honest, they’re still a helpful guide of what to expect on gamedays. EMU puts out a public depth chart via its game notes. I’ve shared what EMU has below, with some of my notes, along with players’ total snap counts via Pro Football Focus.
Previous depth charts: Spring/Summer | UMass Week |
OFFENSE
QUARTERBACK
#15 Cole Snyder (1 start at EMU, 34 career starts at Buffalo)
#10 Jeremiah Salem (fourth year, walk-on turned scholarship)
Snyder made his first start for EMU against UMass and was efficient in running the new offense with his new teammates. Snyder was 17/29 for 241 yards with one touchdown throwing and an other rushing on Saturday.
RUNNING BACK
#19 Dontae McMillan (6 career starts at Weber State)

#2 Oran Singleton (1 start at EMU, incoming JUCO)
#5 TE Max Reese (1 career start at EMU)
EMU’s new starting trio of wide receivers — Markus Allen and Terry Lockett on the outsides and Oran Singleton in the slot — made big plays in Saturday’s opener at UMass. Allen’s longest reception was good for 40 yards. Lockett had a long of 32, Singleton had a long of 33 to go along with a touchdown in the #2 jersey.
Y RECEIVER, TIGHT END
#83 Jere Getzinger (15 career starts at EMU)
#88 Blake Daniels (4 career starts at EMU)
Getzinger made his 15th career start for EMU against UMass. He and left guard Mickey Rewolinski are tied for the team lead (not overall starts).
LEFT TACKLE
#76 Chris Mayo (5 career starts at EMU)/or/ #72 Mack Indestad (third-year signee)
LEFT GUARD
#63 Mickey Rewolinski (15 career starts at EMU)
#66 Daniel Warnsman (fourth-year signee)
CENTER
#67 Broderick Roman (3 career starts at EMU)
#75 Carson Lee (7 career starts at EMU)
RIGHT GUARD
#73 Joshua Anderson (third-year signee)
#66 Daniel Warnsman (fourth-year signee)
RIGHT TACKLE
#54 Blake Bustard (1 start at EMU, 19 starts at Wayne State)
#73 Joshua Anderson (third-year signee)
EMU’s actual starting five against UMass from left to right: Mayo, Rewolinski, Roman, Carson Lee, and Blake Bustard.
Indestad came in at LT to replace Mayo. Warnsman came in behind Rewolinski at LG some. Lee, who played half the game at right guard, had a handful of snaps at center. After Lee came out at guard, Jez Janvier — who started on offense, switched to defense last year and is now back on offense — was the second guard in, and Anderson was the third RG on the field. Bustard never came out of the game.
DEFENSE
LEO
#5 Justin Jefferson (11 career starts at EMU)
#97 Trey Laing (incoming transfer - Indiana)
DEFENSIVE END
#45 Joey Zelinsky (10 career starts at EMU)
#85 Jefferson Adam (incoming JUCO)

#99 Melvin Swindle II (5 career starts at EMU)
DEFENSIVE TACKLE
#90 Malik Tullis (second-year signee)
#92 Dylan Shelton (1 start at EMU)
EMU had nine tackles for loss against UMass, and recorded five of its six sacks in the first half alone. Considering EMU had a season-best four sacks in any game last season, that seems like a huge step up in the pass rushing department.
Of the guys not listed in the two deep, Carter Evans returned from injury for 16 plays, Sterling MIles came back from injury too with 14 snaps. Jefferson Adam made his EMU debut for 14 plays. And interior D-lineman Donovan Green had 29 plays.
MIKE
#55 James Djonkam (1 start at EMU, incoming transfer - Arizona State)
#10 Zion Fonua (incoming JUCO)
WILL
#21 J.T. Killen (1 start at EMU, 26 career starts at Coastal Carolina)
#20 Luke Murphy (incoming transfer - Kent State)
Djonkam and Killen were the team’s leading tacklers against UMass with 13 and 9, respectively.

#8 David Carter Jr. (2 career starts at EMU)
BANDIT
#6 Bryce Llewellyn (17 career starts at Charleston Southern)
#39 Barry Manning (third-year signee)
Joshua Scott made his long-awaited first start back from injury that sidelined him all last season. He played very little in the first half though. Daiquan White, Jordan Toney, and Dramarian McNulty were the most-played corners on the team Saturday.
Bryce Llewellyn was ruled out Saturday in the player participation report, and is listed as the starting Bandit safety again this week. (Hint: there were no changes in this week’s depth chart).
